Josef Newgarden
Josef has made Iowa one of his playgrounds that last several years. His rating here is a mind-boggling 8.63 over the last couple of seasons. Team Penske has also started to figure this track out, winning here for the first time in 2017. After a tough showing at Road America, look for Newgarden to bounce back strong this weekend.
Buyer Beware
Marco Andretti
This shouldn't need to be stated, but there are some out there who believe that Marco Andretti, largely due to success during the early portions of his career on ovals, that Marco is a solid pick on ovals. At Iowa, he has averaged a rating of 3.33 over his last three starts there. That is outrageously poor for a team that averages a full two points higher than that at the track.
